On 20 March
2019, a delegation of the Kingdom of Denmark visited the NCC.
During the
meeting the issues on innovation in the field of electricity, renewables and
waste management regulation in the European Union, with the greatest emphasis
on Danish good practice, were discussed. The representatives of the NCC were
interested in Danish experience on a wholesale market model developed in
Denmark in 2016 with a special focus on data sharing among users, suppliers,
distribution system operator and transmission system operator. Perspectives on
further cooperation with Danish experts on the functionalities of Data Hub,
promotion of power generation from renewable sources as well as other issues of
the development of the energy sector were discussed.
During the
meetings, that lasted throughout the week, the delegation from Denmark together with the Lithuanian institutions and stakeholders
active in the energy sector discussed the development of the innovations seeking
for further cooperation of both countries in energy sector.
